Buffalo Pottery
Buffalo Art Pottery Buffalo pottery was made in Buffalo, New York, after 1902. The company was established by the Larkin Company, famous manufacturers of soap. The wares are marked with a picture of a buffalo and the date of manufacture. Deldare ware is the most famous pottery made at the factory. It has either a khaki-colored or green background with hand-painted transfer designs. Although its art pottery is a thing of the past, Buffalo is still active as a china producer today. Now a division of Oneida, its well made, sturdy vitreous china is still in demand by the armed forces, clubs, and other commercial entities. Buffalo's Blue Willow pattern is still produced and available at Buffalo Pottery's outlet in Centralia. And its commemorative pieces, Abino and Deldare wares still circulate in antique shops, attracting new buyers and higher prices each year.
